I decided not to sell this one. Instead, I sold my old Ibanez and made this one my guitar. Here’s another example of why I love oiled Elm tops. In the video series about how I made this, I called it “something Fenderish,” because it has the classic offset shape made famous by Fender. Behind the elm top is a tōtara body, and the 5-piece neck is made from tawa with a couple of strips of rosewood. There are 22 stainless steel frets, a 25.5 inch scale, a Wilkinson short tele bridge, and a pair of Bullbucker pickups, made by Artist Guitars.
